Heritage Endodontics, PLLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with our patient text messaging program and related communications. It applies to patients of Heritage Endodontics, PLLC.

Text Message Use
Text messages are used solely for purposes related to scheduling, treating, and billing patients. We do not send promotional, marketing, or any other messages unrelated to your care. We do not engage in abusive, harassing, or irrelevant text messaging.

No Sale or Additional Use of Information
Your information will not be sold, leased, rented, or shared for any purpose unrelated to your treatment, scheduling, or billing at Heritage Endodontics. Your mobile phone number will not be sold, leased, or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not use patient information for marketing to third parties or for any secondary commercial purposes.

Any service provider used solely to deliver text messages processes your information only for that limited purpose.

Data Storage and HIPAA Compliance
Patient data is stored locally on an encrypted server maintained by Heritage Endodontics and is handled in a manner intended to be HIPAA compliant. Access is limited to authorized personnel involved in your care, scheduling, or billing.

We limit the content of text messages to the minimum information necessary for scheduling, treatment coordination, and billing. Detailed clinical information is not sent via standard text message.

Email Transmission of Treatment Reports
The only potential non-HIPAA-compliant electronic transmission we use is the emailing of treatment reports to referring dentists. Before any such transmission occurs, patients sign a written consent authorizing the use of non-encrypted email for this specific purpose. No other protected health information is transmitted in this manner.
